CISM Community alerted to doping violation at 1st CISM World Military Functional Fitness Challenge

 

 

BRUSSELS (BEL) - In a recent development, the CISM community has been informed about a doping violation occurring during the 1st CISM World Military Functional Fitness Challenge held in July 2023. The matter was diligently handled by the CISM Discipline Commission in adherence to the principles of fairness and integrity in sports.

 

The following decisive actions have been undertaken:

 

  1. The implicated athlete was provisionally suspended since 21st August 2023, and subsequently, a definitive suspension of 2 years from all CISM sport events has been imposed, effective from the same date.
  2. The International Functional Fitness Federation (IFFF) has officially ratified this decision.
  3. Consequently, all individual and team results of the concerned athlete have been nullified.

 

As a proud signatory of the World Anti-Doping Code, CISM places utmost importance on fostering a fair and clean sports environment. These measures have been implemented in strict accordance with the rules and guidelines outlined by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
