Military Medals at the FAI World Parachuting Championships – Mondial 2016

 

 

CHICAGO (USA) – The FAI World Parachuting Championships came to an end on Monday and the military athletes showed their skills to win more medals.

In Canopy Formation 4way Sequential Team, Qatar, took the first place and managed to establish two new world records!

In Female Freefall Style, 4 military athletes are ranked on the 4 first places: WO Olga Lepezina (RUS) took the gold medal, Elisa Tennyson (USA) was ranked second, WO Olga Kravchenko (RUS) won the bronze medal while OR-8 Deborah Ferrand (FRA) finished on the fourth step of the podium.

In the female junior freefall style, OR-1 Leocadia Ollivier-de-Pury (FRA) took the bronze medal. She already won the gold medal in the individual style junior female and the silver medal in the individual overall junior female competition at the 40th WMPC in Kubinka (RUS) last July.

 

 

In Formation Skydiving 4way open, the current CISM Champion from Belgium, Hayabusa team, also won the gold medal in Chicago!

In Male Individual Accuracy, Stefan Wiesner (GER) won the silver medal just behind Uros Ban (SLO). Stefan Wiesner was ranked 6th in the individual accuracy male competition and 4th in the individual overall male competition at the 40th WMPC in Kubinka.

 

 

WO Nataliya Nikitsiuk (BLR), who won the silver medal in the individual accuracy female event and the bronze medal in the individual overall female event at 40th WMPC, won the gold medal in the individual accuracy female competition in Chicago.

 

 

In the Junior Individual Accuracy event, LCPL Sebastian Graser (AUT), bronze medalist at 40th WMPC, finished on the first step of the podium.

Darja Shastakovich (BLR), gold medalist at the 40th WMPC, took the silver medal in the Female Junior Individual Accuracy event.

 

 

In the Male Team Accuracy event, Slovenia, ranked 4th at 40th WMPC, and Russia, silver medalist at 40th WMPC, respectively won the gold and silver medal while in Female Team Accuracy, Russia, silver medalist at 40th WMPC, took the second place, and Belarus, gold medalist at 40th WMPC, finished on the third step of the podium.
