10th CISM Futsal Cup for Peace 2018 – Kolašin (MNE) – Day 5

 

 

Serbia is the new  champion!


KOLAŠIN (MNE) – The 10th edition of the CISM Futsal Cup for Peace, an event gathering Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, came to an end yesterday, May 11, in Kolašin, Montenegro with the gold and bronze medal games.

In the final, the Montenegrian team was facing Serbia with the support of their local fans, but unfortunately, the host country lost the decisive game 4-3. It was a tight game that both teams could have won,  but in the end, Serbia made the difference and became the new champion of the 10th CISM Futsal Cup for Peace. Congratulation to Serbia for this deserved title!

 

 

In the bronze medal game, the defending champion Bosnia & Herzegovina achieved an impressive performance as they defeated Croatia 10-5, taking the third place with this victory.

The final was directly followed by the awarding ceremony:

  • Fair Play Trophy - Slovenia

  • Best Goalkeeper - Dalibor Stojanović (SER)

  • Best Player - Miloš Trajković (SER)

  • Best Scorers - Milan Lakčević (MON) and Senad Sarajkić (BH)

 

 

The Closing Ceremony took place in presnce of the CISM Secretary General Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita, the Project Manager Captain Marcos Lúcio, the State Secretary Boban Filipovic, the Chief of Staff of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and President of the Ceremony Brigadier General Ilija Daković,  the Deputy Chief of General Staff Colonel Svetozar Brajkovic and the Chiefs of Delegations of the 6 participating countries: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

 

 

 

During the Ceremony, the Secretary General also awarded the Lieutenant-Colonel Ivan Zukic from Croatia with a special certificate as he participated in all the editions of the CISM Futsal Cup for Peace. CISM flag was then handed over to Colonel Safet Mecinovik as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will host the next edition of the Cup in 2019.
