CISM Secretary General in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) for a working visit

 

 

OUAGADOUGOU (BUR) – From June 11 to June 16, the CISM Secretary General Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita (GUI) was on a working visit in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso. The CISM Secretary General as well as Colonel David Kabré, CISM Africa VP, attended the Opening Ceremony of 41st General Assembly of the West Africa Liaison Office (WALO) in presence of Mr. Jean-Claude Bouda, the Minister of Defense of Burkina Faso, Mr. Taïrou Bangré, Minister of Sport of Burkina Faso and Colonel-Major Pale N. Theodore, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Burkinabe Army. In the framework of this important event, the WALO volleyball Championship was also held in Ouagadougou from 10 to 16 June.

 

 

On June 13, the CISM Secretary General Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita and the officials of the WALO General Assembly were welcomed for an audience by H.E M.Roch Christian Kabore, Head of State of Burkina Faso.

On June 15, Major General Honore Nabere Traore, former CISM BoD member from 1996 to 2010, invited the WALO AG Officials for an official dinner in his house.

 

 

Finally on June 16, the Mogho Naba, Naba Baongo II, King of the Mossisn welcomed the CISM Secretary General and the other officials for a last audience. Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita also attended the Closing Ceremony of the WALO General Assembly and the Final of the WALO Volleyball Championship won by Côte d’Ivoire (Final Ranking of the WALO Championship: 1. Côte d’Ivoire ; 2. Burkina Faso ; 3. Togo ; 4. Guinea ; 5. Mali ; 6. Benin)
