Pre-visit – 45th CISM World Military Championship Modern Pentathlon 2017
DRZONKOW (POL) - In preparation of the 45th CISM World Military Modern Pentathlon Championship that will take place from 11 to 17 September 2017, Lieutenant-Colonel Nilton Gomes Rolim Filho (CISM Modern Pentathlon PCSC), Lieutenant-Colonel Tomasz Bartkowiak (Deputy Chief of the Polish Delegation to CISM), Lieutenant-Colonel Krzysztof Karolak (Chief of the Polish Military Sports Club), Major Sławomir Kotas (Deputy Chief of the Polish Military Sports Club) and WOC Maciej Bogucki (Team Captain of the Polish Military Modern Pentathlon Team) conducted the first one-site visit to the Zielonogórski Sport Club Drzonków, in Drzonków (POL), during the UIPM World Cup IV .
They were warmly welcomed by the Zielonogórski Sport Club Drzonków and its staff. Onsite, the CISM Modern Pentathlon PCSC and the members of the Polish Delegation to CISM attended preliminary meetings to establish contacts with the UIPM, the organizing committee and the referees.
The main objective of this first coordination visit and inspection was to enable the Modern Pentathlon PCSC Lieutenant-Colonel Nilton Rolim, who is also acting as CISM UIPM TD, to inspect the venues and to provide the requested technical support to the members of the Polish Delegation to CISM and to the Zielonogórski Sport Club Drzonków staff (Modern Pentathlon director, venue managers, technical coordinator of the riding, logistics…).
Another important goal was to assess the ongoing preparation and planning of the 45th CISM World Military Modern Pentathlon Championship and to check the quality of the sports infrastructure available and receive an update concerning the situation of the renewed constructions (accommodations, laser-shooting range, swimming pool, riding stadium...).
