42nd WMC Parachuting – Szolnok (HUN) - Day 3

SZOLNOK (HUN) – The second day of the 42nd WMC Parachuting took place yesterday in Szolnok, Hungary and the fans attended high level performances that were achieved by the CISM athletes.
The Slovenian team achieved the first CISM World Record of the Championship in the team accuracy event with a performance of 1x0,00 + 0,02. Congratulations to OF-1 Roman Karun, OR 2 Peter Balta, OR-7 Borut Erjavec, OR-7 Senad Salkic and OR-1 Matej Becan for this impressive performance. The former CISM World Record was broken by the Omani team in Kubinka in 2016. In individual accuracy male, OR-2 Peter Balta (SLO), OR-7 Stefan Wiesner (GER) and 1LT Gao Tinabo (CHN) are on the top of the provisional podium. Gao Tinabo (CHN) is also leading the junior ranking of the individual accuracy and the individual overall junior ranking. In the individual overall male event, WO Sorf Oldrich (CZE) is currently on the first place of the provisional ranking ahead of OR-7 Stefan Wiesner (GER) and 1LT Gao Tinabo (CHN).

In the female competition, the Russian delegation is currently impressing the observers as the members of the CSKA are leading most of the provisional rankings: SLD Mariia Elkina is topping the podium of the individual style junior event, the individual accuracy junior (together with CDT Yue Li (CHN)) and the individual overall junior rankings, LT Evgeniia Furman is leading the individual overall ranking ahead of ADJ Déborah Ferrand (FRA) and SLD Mariia Elkina (RUS). Russia is also on the top of the team accuracy and nation overall rankings.

In the individual style event, Léocadie Ollivier de Pury is currently ranked first ahead of 4 Russian parachutists while the French team leads the formation ranking.

Finally, the leader of the event CPL Darja Shastakovich (BLR) achieved four perfect jumps in the individual accuracy event.
