SZOLNOK (HUN) – In presence of Gillian Rayner (FRA), President of the  FAI Parachuting Commission (IPC), most of the competitions of the 42nd WMC Parachuting ended yesterday, August 17, in Szolnok, Hungary.  The French ADJ Déborah Ferrand became the new Individual Accuracy Female Military World Champion with a one point lead on the silver medallist OR-2 Maja Sajovic from Slovenia while 1LT Ping Wang (CHN) took the bronze medal. In individual accuracy junior female, China has two representatives on the podium with the gold medallist CDT Mei Yang while OR-3 Yue Li took bronze. The German OR-3 Tatjana Gustke is finally ranked second.

In the female overall rankings, LT Evgeniia Furman, who was ranked 3rd in accuracy and 4th in style, took the advantage of the style tie-break against ADJ Déborah Ferrand (FRA) (1st in accuracy and 6th in style) to win the individual overall female ranking while another Russian, WO Elena Laktionova took bronze. CDT Mei Yang, from China, took the first place of the individual overall junior female ranking thanks to her 1st and 3rd place in accuracy and style. In individual accuracy, 1LT Gao Tinabo (CHN) won the junior contest after achieving 7 perfect jumps in a row. OR-7 Senad Salkic (SLO), WO Oldrich Sorf (CZE) and OR-8 Istvan Asztalos has to compete in a tie-break as they were even after 8 jumps. At this game, Salkic took the silver medal, followed by Sorf while Asztalos was ranked 4th.
