Delegates express their expectations

 

 

WUHAN (CHN) - Delegation heads and members predicted their performances at the Games and stated their appreciation for the warm and hospitable reception from the host city.

Christian Luetzendorf, the head of the German delegation, said that many of his 380-member delegation have participated in previous Olympic Games. He said that they were looking forward to the Games and added that they expected to perform well in the military pentathlon and parachuting.

 

 

Pedro Jose Garcia Cifo, the head of the Spanish delegation, shared his high expectation of the Games. He said that his delegation, mainly female, has 162 athletes. Their team is strong in triathlon, shooting, lifesaving, and military pentathlon.

The head of the ROK delegation, Lim Seungjai mentioned that in the last Games which were held in his country, their team were ranked fourth in the medal ranking. He hopes that their athletes will perform well in Wuhan.

 

 

The 108-member Mongolian delegation travelled to Wuhan by high-speed railway from Beijing. They were the first foreign delegation to arrive collectively by high-speed railway. Head of the delegation Batbileg Khalzankhuu commented that the highspeed railway was cosy and everything here was excellent.

 

 

All of them talked about the great food and service in the Village. Luetzendorf said that they were all impressed by the variety of delicious food in the canteen. Cifo said that he was delighted to meet the hospitable Wuhan people, and Lim appreciated the considerate service.
