Postponing of CISM 75th General Assembly & Congress, Nairobi, Kenya

BRUSSELS (BEL) - As you are aware, the international health situation has reached a point of uncertainty since the COVID19 spread has been declared as pandemic by the WHO. As a result, CISM activities will certainly be impacted by the prevention measures that all governments are putting in place in order to protect the populations from spreading the disease.

Therefore, the CISM Board of Directors, in close collaboration with the Kenyan Delegation, has decided to postpone the 75th General Assembly & Congress that was meant to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1st to 10th May 2020.

CISM, along with the other stake holders involved in the preparation of this important moment for the CISM Family, is already trying to find another date that would respect the international monitoring of the disease and the physical integrity of participants and organizers.

As already mentioned, CISM would like to emphasize the fact that our main concern is the health of the CISM Family Members and Hosts. No decisions will be taken without considering this fundamental element.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our Strategy and General Affairs Director,  Lieutenant-Colonel Jan Van Den Dool, jan.vandendool@milsport.one, for more information.
