The Boxing Military Games Test Event took place in Wuhan from June 11 to 17
WUHAN (CHN) – From 11 to 17th June 2019, the city of Wuhan (China) organized the Boxing Test Event Tournament in the framework of the preparation of the 7th CISM World Summer Games. The event took place in the Wuhan Sports University Gymnasium (3800 seats) and this was an overall great event for the promotion of boxing in China.
228 boxers (159 Men’s and 69 Women’s) from different regions of China and 34 Referee & Judges took part in this event with a total of 213 bouts (149 in Men’s and 64 in Women’s) in ten weight categories for men’s and five weight categories for women’s in accordance with AIBA Technical and Competition Regulations.
It was a quality organization with a spectacular arena, first-class facilities for the boxers, a perfect logistical organization, a warm reception and high technology equipment standards.
The PCSC Boxing Brig Gen. Yousuf Ali Al-Kazim also visited the training venues of the Wuhan Sports University Gymnasium which were also excellent!
In addition to the presence of CISM Boxing Sport Committee President, Brig Gen. Yousuf Ali Al-Kazim, this event was also attended by the following personalities: Director of the Boxing Competition Management Commission of 7th CISM World Games, President of Wuhan Sports University, Mr. Lyu Wangang; Executive Director of the Boxing Competition Management Committee of 7th CISM World Games, Vice President of Wuhan University, Mr. Zhang Biao; Deputy Director of the Boxing Competition Management Committee of 7th CISM World Games, Vice President of Wuhan University, Mr. Wang Zhiqiang; Deputy Director of the Boxing Competition Management Committee of 7th CISM World Games, Mr. Liang Shiwei; Supervisor of Chinese Boxing Federation, Deputy Director of the Boxing Competition Management Committee of 7th CISM World Games, Mr. Shen Zhiang; Sports Manager of Boxing, Mr. Han Bo, and others Chinese’s delegation members.
In closing, the PCSC Boxing Brig Gen. Yousuf Ali Al-Kazim declared: “With this test event, I’m confident that the SUMOC will organize a successful boxing event during the 7th CISM World Games.
