Hard Work Pays off: Students Honored to be Placard Bearers

WUHAN (CHN) - Tang Tian will never forget the audience cheering as the Chinese delegation entered the Wuhan Sports Center on October 18. As their placard bearer, she was filled with pride when asked to serve in this role.

"I felt happy to be selected although training is not easy," said Tang Tian, a student from the School of Design at Jianghan University.

In order to ensure placard bearers' regal facial expression posture, daily physical training is required. Their fitness routine includes doing 200 push-ups every afternoon and evening.

Tang Tian is doing the daily physical training.

"We trained during the hottest time in Wuhan in July and August. Yet it is worthwhile to be involved in such a large-scale event," Tang added.
