1st CISM East Judo Tournament - Mongolia CoD's Editorial
Dear CISM family and friends,
It is our honour and privilege to host the 1st CISM East Asia Judo Championship-2017 together with the CISM and the International Judo Federation for the first time in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia.
The CISM brings a great opportunity to come together and compete for sports to the militaries from all over the world under the motto of "Friendship through Sport" with the three pillars of sport, education and solidarity as we are all aware of. Therefore, every event organized by the CISM ultimately contributes to the global peace and stability due to its nature of bringing friendship and mutual understanding among its members and participants.
This time, sportsmen from the Armed Forces of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation and Vietnam are participating in the 1st CISM East Asia Judo Championship 2017 in order to compete for fostering friendship and peace in the world.
I would like to express my appreciation to the CISM and the International Judo Federation for allowing Mongolian Armed Forces to host the Tournament in our country and showing all kinds of support to make this event a success. I am very thankful to the participating nations for your enthusiasm and support towards the fulfillment of the CISM goal. You will have a chance to see some of the unique cultures and beauty of Mongolia while participating in this important event.
Dear friends, Mongolian Armed Forces will do its utmost effort to host the event and bring a fascinating memories for friendship to you. I am confident that the event will meet its main goal, and welcome to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
