Open World Military Archery Competition – Fontainebleau (FRA) – Update – Day 2

 

 

FONTAINEBLEAU (FRA) –The second day of competition of the first Open World Military Archery Competition took place yesterday in Fontainebleau with the teams’ playoffs.

In classic bow men, Korea defeated Belarus 5-1 and will face Russia in the final, who had an easy win against the French local team.

 

 

The Russian team won the first semifinal of the classic bow women event against a mixed team composed of athletes from France, Denmark and Tunisia (6-0). In the other semifinal, Belarus defeated France (6-2) and will face Russia in the final.

Still in classic compound, the para-athletes from Denmark lost against another mixed team with athletes from USA, Romania and Greece (2-6) while the French team could not reach the final after its defeat against Italy (6-2).

 

 

In the men’s compound event, the bad day continued for the French delegation. Indeed, the French team lost once again in semifinal, this time against Greece (208-206). In the final game, the Greek team will play against Russia, who defeated the mixed team composed of France, Slovenia and Romania (221-201)

As a reminder, tomorrow’s finals are open to the public. We are waiting for you from 9:30 am at the National Defense Sports Center!
