42nd WMC Parachuting – Szolnok (HUN) – Final Day
SZOLNOK (HUN) – The Closing Ceremony, composed of an aerial show, and the Awarding Ceremony of the 42nd WMC Parachuting took place yesterday, August 20, in Szolnok, Hungary, in presence of the following high authorities: Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita, CISM Secretary General and Official CISM Representative for this event; Colonel Gernot Rittenschober, PCSC Parachuting; Gillian Rayner (FRA), President of the FAI Parachuting Commission (IPC); Mr. István Dankó, Defense State Secretary of Hungary; Brigadier General Läszlo Szabo, Chairman of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Ferenc Szalay, Szolnok Mayor; Colonel Tarmàs Bali PhD, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Lieutenant-Colonel Zoltan Eleki, Chief of Delegation of Hungary to CISM, local and international high authorities.
The Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita congratulated the Hungarian Delegation to CISM, the Hungarian Armed Forces, the city of Szolnok and the Organizing Committee for the excellent organization of the event! More than 250 participants took part in this event that was held, as usual when we talk about the Hungarian Delegation, in optimal conditions! We can’t wait to attend the next WMC Modern Pentathlon in Budapest!
The Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita also took the opportunity of this Ceremony to award the Brigadier-General Szabo and the Brigadier-General Woller from the Hungarian delegation with the CISM Order of Merit.
The parachutists who broke a CISM World Record were also congratulated and received some special gifts as well as Records Certificates.
Finally the CISM Flag was handed over to the Chinese delegation which will host the next WMC Parachuting in the framework of the 7th CISM World Summer Games 2019 in Wuhan.
