CISM Golf gears up for Dhaka 2026

DHAKA (BAN) - As preparations accelerate for the 17th CISM World Military Golf Championship, scheduled in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 27 November to 4 December 2026, a key coordination milestone has been reached.

During an official evaluation visit, Major Cameron Lowdon, President of the CISM Golf Sport Committee (PCSC Golf), conducted a series of high-level meetings with the Bangladesh Local Organizing Committee and military authorities. The meetings, held at the Headquarters of the Armed Forces Division, focused on operational planning and final coordination steps ahead of the championship.

A symbolic highlight of the visit saw Major Lowdon officially hand over the CISM flag to Air Commodore Masud, Director General Training of the Armed Forces Division and Head of the LOC — marking the formal transition towards Bangladesh’s hosting responsibilities.

The delegation also visited the Kurmitola Golf Club, the venue set to host the championship, where several rounds and technical assessments confirmed the site’s readiness to welcome military golfers from around the world.

With strong engagement and excellent cooperation on the ground, Bangladesh is firmly on track to deliver a high-quality championship in line with CISM standards and values.
