The 23rd WMC Equestrian is about to start in Fontainebleau (FRA)

FONTAINEBLEAU (FRA) - France will soon host the 23rd World Military Equestrian Championship. This international sporting event will bring together 33 riders, representing 11 nations and will be hosted by the CNSD Military Riding School in Fontainebleau from October 5 to 8. The French delegation will include 3 riders including 1 woman, from the forces and the Army of Champions.

 

The whole Ile de France region is mobilized on this international military sports event who will strengthen the link between the Armed Forces and the Nation, especially among the youth. This championship will also give visibility to the link between the horse, military riding and the values of the military leader and the French soldier and will enhance the active participation of the Armed Forces and military sport in the preparation of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

 

 

With 7,000 members, 21 military equestrian sections on the national territory, 200 military riders and 800 military horses, the Army actively participates in the promotion of French equitation and the French equestrian environment.

 

The following nations will participate in this championship: Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Barhein and France

 

Schedule of event:

  • Wednesday, October 5: Opening ceremony followed by the 1st round.
  • Thursday October 6: 2nd round
  • Saturday, October 8: 3rd event in 2 rounds. Closing ceremony with the presence of the Cadre Noir and the Garde Républicaine. Prize-giving ceremony
