During the ceremony, President Rolim underscored the organization's rich history and its role in fostering camaraderie and understanding among military personnel through sports. He emphasized CISM's commitment to peace, solidarity, and fair play, echoing the sentiments of its founders who envisioned a world united through athletic competition: "Today, as we inaugurate this new chapter in Brussels, we pay tribute to the legacy of those visionaries who laid the foundation for our organization. CISM has become a symbol of unity and diversity, bringing together military athletes from diverse backgrounds and cultures. As we embark on this next phase, let us renew our commitment to the ideals of peace, solidarity, and fair play that have defined CISM since its inception."

Secretary-General Recchia expressed gratitude to the member nations for their support and highlighted the diverse mosaic of cultures and traditions that enrich CISM's global community: “Behind me, you can see the flags representing all CISM nations, which form the backbone of our organization and remind us that CISM is a mosaic of cultures, traditions, and military sport excellence. Allow me, in particular, to thank the Member Nations providing civilian and military staff to the CISM secretariat, namely Belgium, Brazil, Greece, Iran, Nigeria, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, The Netherlands, and of course Italy, which has appointed me to this prestigious role. The support provided with highly experienced, qualified and faithfully committed personnel is the main added value that gives CISM the possibility to confidently look ahead. Thank you very much.”
