General Piccirillo meets with the Tunisian Ministry of Defense

TUNIS (TUN) - In the afternoon of January 26, after his meeting with the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT), the CISM President met with Mr. Abdelhak Khemiri, Chief of Staff of the Minister of National Defense in the presence of Colonel-Major Mokaddem Abderraouf, Chief of the Tunisian Delegation to CISM, and Colonel Lotfi Bouguerra, Head of the technical division at the DEPSM.

During this fruitful meeting, General Hervé Piccirillo and his Tunisian counterparts discussed many topics such as the attachment of the Tunisian Ministry of National Defense (MND) to CISM with a membership of the country in 1961 and a Tunisian presidency from 1979 to 1986, the important role of CISM in its contribution to security and peace in the world, the commitment and willingness of the Ministry of National Defense to support the CISM activities as well as the prospects for cooperation in the areas of exchange of expertise in training and reconstruction of wounded soldiers through sport.
