Fighting spirit, friendship, respect, and passion were, as every year, present. PCSC Parachuting Colonel Gernot Rittenschober was also delighted with the course of the championship: "The 45th WMPC officially ended this evening and from a competition point of view I can only say: 'mission accomplished'. We had exciting finals and tie breaks, we enjoyed the sunny weather in southern Burgenland and the hospitality of Güssing and the InfBn 19. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all those who worked for us during the last weeks and who will continue to work after our departure. It was a huge job and not always visible, for example the engineers who built the infrastructure, the IT who ran the internet network and the judging system, the cooks with long and flexible working hours and all the others who worked behind the curtain to make our championship work."

To say the least, the Austrian organizers had made every effort to impress and accommodate our military athletes who enjoyed themselves throughout the six days of competition. The emphasis was clearly on the athletes being able to walk from their accommodation to the main dropzone, with efficient flights and, to top it off, pleasant weather.

There is still no host nation for 2023 and the 46th WMPC. At the CSC Open Meeting, nations were informed that the deadline for submitting a bid for 2023 was September 1, 2022.

For 2024, Hungary has confirmed the organization of the WMPC!
