International Day of Military Sports 2023 – Algeria

ALGER (ALG) - The Algerian Delegation to CISM successfully celebrated the 75th anniversary of the commemoration of the CISM creation by organizing the International Day of Military Sports on February 16, 2023.

A cross dedicated to peace gathered more than 643747 military participants representing the different Units and Commands of the Algerian Armed Forces.

This day has seen a great mobilization of military and civilian personnel of all ages, ranks and categories as well as the female category whose media coverage has been largely provided.

Ceremonies of awards were organized with the delivery of medals and diplomas made according to the specimens developed by the CISM.

The Chief of the Algerian Delegation to CISM, Colonel Djabou M'hamed Abdelhak, supervised the official launch of this activity at the Military Academy of Cherchell of the Algerian Armed Forces.
