The central event held in Budapest at the Budapest Honvéd Sport Club facilities was attended by Major-General László Sticz Ph.D., head of the HDF's Force Modernization and Transformation Command, who also ran the 3200-meter distance.

In his opening speech, Major General László Sticz emphasized that the renewed, modern and high-tech Hungarian defense forces are in great need of physically active soldiers: "The armed forces need well-trained, well-equipped, courageous, enterprising, physically fit and language-speaking soldiers, that is why the increasingly active participation in the current initiative is also important."
