2nd World Military Half Marathon Championship in Sarajevo is about to kick off

SARAJEVO (BIH) - We are thrilled to announce that the 2nd World Military Half Marathon Championship is set to take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, from May 24 to May 27, 2024. This prestigious event will bring together 29 nations and approximately 240 athletes, showcasing the best of military sportsmanship and endurance.

Today, May 24, marks the arrival of the athletes and Chiefs of Delegation to Sarajevo. The day began with a press conference broadcast on television, followed by an important meeting with the Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces, setting the stage for the exciting days ahead.

Tomorrow, May 25, will feature the Technical Meeting and the highly anticipated Opening Ceremony. These events will outline the competition details and officially commence the championship, uniting participants and spectators in a celebration of international camaraderie and athletic excellence.

The main event, the half marathon competition, will take place on May 26. Athletes will compete in a display of skill, determination, and endurance, culminating in the Closing Ceremony that evening.
