Tanzanian National Defense College delegates visited the CISM Headquarters

 

 

BRUSSELS (BEL) – On June 5, a Tanzanian delegation of the National Defense College visited the CISM Headquarters and was welcomed by Mr. Olivier Verhelle, CISM Chief Executive Office and the CISM Staff.  

The delegation was composed of members of the Tanzanian National Defense College who had the opportunity to attend presentation of the CISM staff in order to bring them knowledge about the CISM activities. The Tanzanian delegation was composed of the following personalities: H.E. Mr. Juma Salum, Acting Ambassador of Tanzania in Belgium; Brigadier-General Chelestino Msola; Dr. Lucy Shule; Lieutenant-Colonel Nyambuli Mashauri; Mr. Stephen Kobelo; Colonel Clifftone Moono (ZAM); Colonel James Emuekpere (NGA); Mr. Eleuter Mazome; Colonel Pili Kambenga; Brigadier-General Andrew Chakila; Colonel Dias Jaqueta (MOZ); Mr. Emmanuel Enock and Mrs. Nenelwa Mwihambi.

 

 

Mr. Olivier Verhelle, CISM CEO gave a brief overview of the CISM history and activities and was followed by Lieutenant-Colonel Jan Van den Dool, CISM Strategy and Development Director, who briefed the delegates about the CISM Strategy and Business Plan. Colonel Abdulraheem Bello, CISM Solidarity and Sport & Peace Manager, then took the floor to present the CISM Sports Department activities while Mr. David Vandenplas, CISM Media and Communication Director, presented the media and communication activities developed by CISM.

 

 

Finally, Colonel Joseph Bakari, introduced the organization of Military Sports in Africa, the CISM RDC and a review of Tanzania history in CISM and Twalipo football camp to the delegates!

This meeting was very interesting for the delegates and CISM encourages the other Member Nations to organize such initiatives.
