Algerian Mission takes direct charter flight to Wuhan

 

 

WUHAN (CHN) - Three days before the opening of the 7th CISM Military World Games (7th CWG), missions from various countries are heading to Wuhan. The Algerian mission specially charters a plane for the 7th CWG. This is the first chartered plane that flies directly to Wuhan.

On October 14, more than 80 athletes, coaches and staff members from Algeria arrived in Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. They will compete in the Football, Boxing, Military Pentathlon competitions, among others.

 

 

At the customs inspection office, the border police officers kept smiling during the whole process, offering to help the foreigners to fill in the entry card and actively providing guidance. The athletes could feel the hospitality of the Wuhan people even before they walked out of the exit. Some members took selfies with their mobile phones in the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport from time to time.

The chief of Algerian mission told reporters that this is their first visit in Wuhan, China, and people here are very hospitable. He has been attracted by the Chinese culture for a long time and he is looking forward to visiting Wuhan. Seeing that so many staff members have put so much effort into the 7th CWG, he and the mission members are very excited and they will try their best to enjoy the games and build friendship with the other missions.

 

 

A total of 58 athletes from the Algerian mission will compete in the Judo, Wrestling and other sports. Algeria will have chances of medals in Judo, Boxing, Track & Field as they won 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in these disciplines during the 6th CWG.
