46th World Military Parachuting Championship set for Szolnok

SZOLNOK (HUN) - The 46th edition of the World Military Parachuting Championships will be held in Szolnok, Hungary, from 2nd to 13th July 2024. Today marked the final day of preparations. Meet Director Colonel Levente Réz, together with PCSC Parachuting Colonel Gernot Rittenschober and Chief Judge Sergent-Major Oliver Vent, inspected all competition venues to ensure readiness.

 

The CJ, EJs, and technical staff for judging and scoring arrived on Sunday, 30th June, and worked tirelessly to verify the readiness of all installations. The main dropzone will feature a large video wall, and all three disciplines will be presented live to participants and spectators. Videos from Style and Formation Skydiving will be uploaded to the FAI results website, and Accuracy scores can be followed in real time from anywhere in the world via the internet.

 

Day 0 (8)

 

Tomorrow is the official arrival and accreditation day for participants and judges from 35 nations, followed by the opening ceremony in Szolnok city center on the morning of 3rd July.

 

CISM President Colonel Nilton Rolim and ISC President Alberto Martin Paracuellos will be present throughout the championship, further strengthening the excellent CISM-ISC relations.
