Aerial mastery at the 7th Dubai International Parachuting Championship: CISM teams soar to victory

DUBAI (UAE) – The Dubai International Parachuting Championship, now in its 7th edition, witnessed extraordinary feats of skill as CISM Parachuting teams showcased their prowess in the Accuracy Landing competition. Following their impressive performances in the World Cup Series, these teams continued to achieve remarkable success on the global stage.

Under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Executive Council, the championship hosted a total of 40 teams, comprised of 168 male and female participants representing 27 countries. The event featured intense competitions among skydivers from the Arab, American, Asian, and European regions.

In the Accuracy Landing competition, the participants demonstrated exceptional skill, with local military Sgt Bloushi making notable advancements. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as competitors engaged in water sliding and precision landings, leaving a lasting impression on spectators.

In the Team Male Accuracy category, CISM Italy demonstrated remarkable precision, securing the top position on the podium. Meanwhile, CISM Czech Republic and CISM United Arab Emirates claimed the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

CISM France secured the gold medal in the Team Female Accuracy competition, boasting a 20-point lead over CISM Austria, which earned the silver medal.

Leocadie Ollivier de Pury from France claimed the title in the individual female accuracy category, with Déborah Ferrand from France and Silvia Magnani from Italy following closely behind.

The local United Arab Emirates CISM athlete Abdulrahman Al Blooshi showcased remarkable accuracy, clinching the championship in the individual male accuracy category. Stebastian Graser from Austria and Mohamed Al Suwaidi from UAE also secured notable positions in this highly competitive event.

The championship, held at the prestigious Address Beach Resort, garnered enthusiastic support from the CISM parachuting family, marking a triumphant return to the UAE. Colonel Nilton Rolim, President of CISM, commended the organizing committee and acknowledged the valuable support from partners such as the Dubai Health Authority, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Skydive Dubai, Media Land Group, Address Beach Resort, and the Golden Tulip Media Hotel.
