58th WMC Boxing – Moscow (RUS) – Technical Meeting, Draw and Anti-doping training

MOSCOW (RUS) - Yesterday was a very important day for the participants of the 58th World Military Boxing Championship that is currently taking place in Moscow, from 16 to 26 September 2021.

 

In the afternoon, the athletes from the 36 participating CISM Member Nations went through an admission committee, where they could confirm their military status.

After this, the Chiefs of Mission, coaches and athletes attended the Technical Meeting during which the Official CISM Representative and BoD Member Colonel Jose Carlos Garcia-Verdugo, the PCSC Boxing Major Altynbekov Bakhytzhan and representatives of the Organizing Committee of the event gave a briefing about the upcoming competition and the rules that will make this championship an high-level event.

 

The Competition Draw took place right after the technical meeting.

 

 

RUSADA also explained the procedures to be adopted during anti-doping tests and conducted an antidoping presentation and training.

 

The schedule of all events of the 58 CISM World Military Boxing Championship, which will be held in Moscow, Russia, is the following (Moscow Time):

 

  • The opening ceremony will be held at the Cultural and Exhibition Center "Patriot" on September 18 from 12:00 to 14:00

 

  • From September 19 to 23, qualifying bouts for the semifinals will be held at the CSKA "Igrovoy" sports complex:
    • 8:00 - 9:00 - Daily Weigh-in and Medical
    • 12:00 - 16:00 - Afternoon Session
    • 17:00 - 21:00 - Evening Session

  • On September 24, the semifinals will be held  at the CSKA "Igrovoy" sports complex:
    • 8:00 - 9:00 - Daily Weigh-in and Medical
    • 14:00 - 20:00 - Semifinals

 

  • The Final will be held at VTB Arena on September 25:
    • 8:00 - 9:00 - Daily Weigh-in and Medical
    • 11:00 - 19:00 - Final
    • 19:00 - 20:00 - Medal Ceremony
    • 20:00 - 21:00 - Championship closing ceremony
