China's shooting stars continue to lead the way

WUHAN (CHN) - China's shooters were at home on the range on Thursday as they won both team competitions to increase their gold-medal haul to nine in shooting at the Military World Games.

The Chinese men beat Finland and Austria into second and third place respectively in the 300m military rapid fire rifle team event, and the women also shot to victory in the 25m military rapid fire pistol competition. DPR Korea picked up the silver and Poland took bronze.

Those victories took the hosts' overall tally nine gold, two silver and two bronze medals, leaving them comfortably ahead of second-place Russia (three gold, two silver, three bronze).

In the day's other two shooting events, Pavlo KOROSTYLOV (UKR) took gold in men's 25m center fire pistol, while Russia's Iuliia ZYKOVA won the women's 50m rifle 3 positions.
