20th WMC Triathlon – Lidkoping (SWE) – Day 1

LIDKOPING (SWE) – The 50th WMC started in the city of Lidkoping, Sweden, on June 15 with the Opening Ceremony of the event that took place in presence of the following guests: the CISM Official Representative of the event Colonel Nelson J. Lopez from Angola, the Commander of Skaraborg Wing F 7 Colonel Lars Helmrich, the PCSC Sailing Brigadier Hassan A. A. Awad, the Chief of Delegation of Sweden to CISM Lieutenant-Colonel Sven Antonsson. The Rear Admiral Jens Nykvist Chief of Staff of the Royal Swedish Navy also visited the Championship for which 149 athletes (76 men elite, 40 women elite, 26 men senior and 7 women senior from 22 countries gathered.

The competition will take place today, June 17, in the city of Lidkoping.
