DOMINANT PERFORMANCE BY USA MEN AND WOMEN GOLF TEAMS AT THE 14TH WORLD MILITARY GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
SAN DIEGO (USA) - The Admiral Baker Golf Course witnessed two days of perfect weather, but the true highlights were the remarkable performances of the U.S. Men and Women Golf Teams. After two rounds of competition, they have firmly established themselves as the leaders in their respective categories.
In the men's division, Team USA demonstrated their prowess by finishing an impressive 20 strokes under par, leaving second-place France trailing by a substantial 18 strokes. Leading the way was Navy Lt. Jacob Meloche from Naval San Diego, California, who maintained a consistent 5-under par score for the top position. France's Nicolas Muller secured a strong second place, maintaining a 7-under score over two rounds.
The trio of David Banks, Joseph Crisostomo, and Nicholas Brediger contributed solid performances to bolster Team USA's commanding lead. France, buoyed by Muller's performance, currently occupies second place in the team competition, just two strokes ahead of Team Ireland, who have maintained an even par score after two rounds.
On the women's front, Air Force 1st Lt. Kimberly Liu and Army Capt. Melanie De Leon continued to dominate, holding the top two spots with scores of 3-under and 2-under, respectively. Team USA enjoys a comfortable 10-stroke lead over France. Pauline Stein and Josephine Farrando of France put up scores of 1-under and 6-over in two rounds, keeping France in contention for the top position.
