33rd WMC Wrestling – Moscow (RUS) - Day 3

 

 

Russia delights its fans in Moscow

 

MOSCOW (RUS) – As it was the case on the second day of competition of the 33rd World Military Wrestling Championship, the Russian male wrestlers have shown mastery during this third day of competition as they won four titles out of five!  The World Champion Khetik Tsabolov (RUS) added another medal to its collection as he defeated the Iranian Bahman Teimouri in the final of the FS -79kg. Zelimkhan Khadjiev (FRA) and Galymzhan Userbayev (KAZ) finished on the third step of the podium!

 

 

Magomed Ramazanov (RUS) also impressed the audience with a deserved victory against the Azeri Kanan Aliyev while Stefan Reichmuth (SUI) and Nurdaulet Kokteubaev (KAZ) took bronze in the FS -86kg category.

In the FS -92kg final, the Russian Iurii Belonovskii became the new military world champion after his victory against the Kazakh Adilet Davumbayev. The Hungarian Gabor Hatos and Ivan Yankouski (BLR) had to settle for the third place.

 

 

The last Russian gold medal of the day was won by Vladislav Baitcaev against Amir Mohamadi (IRI) in FS -97kg while Dzianis Khramtankou (BLR) and Roman Bakirov (AZE) ended the competition with a bronze medal.

Finally, the Iranian Mohebi Yaduollah won the premier class wrestlers competition (FS -125kg) as he defeated the Kazakh Nurzhan Omirbekov in the final round. Raja Alkarad (SYR) and Alan Kughaev took bronze!

 

 

In the female World Wrestling -62kg, Anastasiya Huchok won the first title of the WMC for the Belarus Delegation as she defeated Lais Nunes de Oliveira (BRA) in an intense final round. S. Tserenchimed (MGL) finished third!

Jeyla Naghizade (AZE) also brought the first gold medal to the Azeri Delegation with her title in the WW -65kg competition against E. Tsevegmed (MGL) while Albina Kairgeldinova (KAZ) took the bronze medal.

 

 

The Chinese female wrestlers won two new titles with the victories of Wang Chunying in WW -68kg (ahead of E. Davaanasan (MGL) and Dailane Gomes dos Reis (BRA)) and Juan Wang in WW -76kg (Gulmaral Yerkebayeva (KAZ) took silver, followed by the bronze medallists Epp Mae (EST) and B. Odonchimeg (MGL)).

Finally the freestyle competitions ended with the victory of the U23 World Champion Koumba Selene Larroque in WW -72kg thanks to her triumph against Mengjie Zhu (CHN)!
