The 54th WMC Skiing is about to start in Austria

 

 

HOCHFILZEN / FIEBERBRUNN (AUT) – The 54th edition of the World Military Skiing Championship will start today in the cities of Hochfilzen and Fieberbrunn, Austria. 442 participants from 25 CISM Member Nations (25 Chiefs of Mission, 116 Officials and 301 athletes (205 male and 96 female)) will participate in this four-day event.

The Cross-Country Skiing, Patrol, Biathlon and Paraski competitions will be held in Hochfilzen will the Giant Slalom will take place in Fieberbrunn.

Today’s program: the Preliminary Meeting and Welcome Reception will be held this morning, followed by the trainings in all disciplines and the Paraski Warming while the Opening Ceremony will take place tonight at 6 p.m. local time in the Biathlon Stadium.
