CISM Delegation meets Vladimir Putin in Moscow

 

 

MOSCOW – Yesterday, January 23, in the framework of the 3rd CISM World Winter Games which are taking place in Sochi from 21 to 28 February, a CISM delegation was invited to Moscow to meet the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

The CISM delegation, made up of the CISM officials headed by the CISM President, Colonel Abdulhakeem Alshino and the Chiefs of Missions form the 26 participating nations traveled from Sochi to Moscow in the morning where they visited the headquarters of the CSKA. After the lunch, the CISM delegation was welcomed in the Moscow Kremlin where they had the honor to meet Vladimir Putin in person for a brief meeting. The journey in the capital of the Russian Federation ended up with a magnificent concert in the Moscow Kremlin.

 

 

For these 3rd World Winter Games, 384 athletes from 25 nations will participate in this mega event during the 4 days of competition. 7 sports will be scheduled: biathlon, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, ski orienteering, sport climbing, short track speed skating and ski mountaineering.

  • 09:30 (GMT +3) – Cross Country Skiing – Individual Race (10km Women & 15km Men)

  • 10:00 (GMT +3) - Ski Moutaineering - Individual Race (Women - Men)

  • 11:00 (GMT +3) - Sport Climbing (Lead - Women/Men, Qualification)

  • 13:25 (GMT +3) – Biathlon – Sprint (10km Men)

  • 15:55 (GMT +3) – Biathlon – Sprint (7,5km Women)

  • 16:00 (GMT +3) – Short Track (500m Women & Men)

  • 20:00 (GMT +3) – Opening Ceremony of the 3rd World Winter Games Sochi 2017
